2 Behold, as the eyes of servants `look' unto the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid unto the hand of her mistress; So our eyes `look' unto Jehovah our God, Until he have mercy upon us.
I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.
I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope. My soul `waiteth' for the Lord More than watchmen `wait' for the morning; `Yea, more than' watchmen for the morning.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, And for thy righteous word. Deal with thy servant according unto thy lovingkindness, And teach me thy statutes. I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.
