11 Now hear H8085 me therefore, and deliver H7725 the captives H7633 again, which ye have taken captive H7617 of your brethren: H251 for the fierce H2740 wrath H639 of the LORD H3068 is upon you.
For G1063 he shall have judgment G2920 without mercy, G448 that hath shewed G4160 no G3361 mercy; G1656 and G2532 mercy G1656 rejoiceth against G2620 judgment. G2920
And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 carried away captive H7617 of their brethren H251 two hundred H3967 thousand, H505 women, H802 sons, H1121 and daughters, H1323 and took also away H962 much H7227 spoil H7998 from them, and brought H935 the spoil H7998 to Samaria. H8111
Let now our rulers H8269 of all the congregation H6951 stand, H5975 and let all them which have taken H3427 strange H5237 wives H802 in our cities H5892 come H935 at appointed H2163 times, H6256 and with them the elders H2205 of every city, H5892 and the judges H8199 thereof, until the fierce H2740 wrath H639 of our God H430 for this matter H1697 be turned H7725 from us.
Is not this the fast H6685 that I have chosen? H977 to loose H6605 the bands H2784 of wickedness, H7562 to undo H5425 the heavy H4133 burdens, H92 and to let the oppressed H7533 go H7971 free, H2670 and that ye break H5423 every yoke? H4133
At the end H7093 of seven H7651 years H8141 let ye go H7971 every man H376 his brother H251 an Hebrew, H5680 which hath been sold H4376 unto thee; and when he hath served H5647 thee six H8337 years, H8141 thou shalt let him go H7971 free H2670 from thee: but your fathers H1 hearkened H8085 not unto me, neither inclined H5186 their ear. H241 And ye were now H3117 turned, H7725 and had done H6213 right H3477 in my sight, H5869 in proclaiming H7121 liberty H1865 every man H376 to his neighbour; H7453 and ye had made H3772 a covenant H1285 before H6440 me in the house H1004 which is called H7121 by my name: H8034
For G1722 with G3739 what G1063 judgment G2917 ye judge, G2919 ye shall be judged: G2919 and G2532 with G1722 what G3739 measure G3358 ye mete, G3354 it shall be measured G488 to you G5213 again. G488
Let G3306 brotherly love G5360 continue. G3306 Be G1950 not G3361 forgetful G1950 to entertain strangers: G5381 for G1063 thereby G1223 G5026 some G5100 have entertained G3579 angels G32 unawares. G2990 Remember G3403 them that are in bonds, G1198 as G5613 bound with them; G4887 and them which suffer adversity, G2558 as G5613 being G5607 yourselves G846 also G2532 in G1722 the body. G4983

Commentary on 2 Chronicles 28 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 28
This chapter is the history of the reign of Ahaz the son of Jotham; a bad reign it was, and which helped to augment the fierce anger of the Lord. We have here,
2Ch 28:1-5
Never surely had a man greater opportunity of doing well than Ahaz had, finding things in a good posture, the kingdom rich and strong and religion established; and yet here we have him in these few verses,
2Ch 28:6-15
We have here,
2Ch 28:16-27
Here is,
The chapter concludes with the conclusion of the reign of Ahaz, v. 26, 27. For aught that appears, he died impenitent, and therefore died inglorious; for he was not buried in the sepulchres of the kings. Justly was he thought unworthy to be laid among them who was so unlike them-to be buried with kings who had used his kingly power for the destruction of the church and not for its protection or edification.
