13 Howbeit G3305 no man G3762 spake G2980 openly G3954 of G4012 him G846 for G1223 fear G5401 of the Jews. G2453
These G5023 words spake G2036 his G846 parents, G1118 because G3754 they feared G5399 the Jews: G2453 for G1063 the Jews G2453 had agreed G4934 already, G2235 that G2443 if G1437 any man G5100 did confess G3670 that he G846 was Christ, G5547 he should be G1096 put out of the synagogue. G656
And G1161 after G3326 this G5023 Joseph G2501 of G575 Arimathaea, G707 being G5607 a disciple G3101 of Jesus, G2424 but G1161 secretly G2928 for G1223 fear G5401 of the Jews, G2453 besought G2065 Pilate G4091 that G2443 he might take away G142 the body G4983 of Jesus: G2424 and G2532 Pilate G4091 gave him leave. G2010 He came G2064 therefore, G3767 and G2532 took G142 the body G4983 of Jesus. G2424
Then G3767 the same G1565 day G2250 at evening, G3798 being G5607 the first G3391 day of the week, G4521 when G2532 the doors G2374 were shut G2808 where G3699 the disciples G3101 were G2258 assembled G4863 for G1223 fear G5401 of the Jews, G2453 came G2064 Jesus G2424 and G2532 stood G2476 in G1519 the midst, G3319 and G2532 saith G3004 unto them, G846 Peace G1515 be unto you. G5213
The fear H2731 of man H120 bringeth H5414 a snare: H4170 but whoso putteth his trust H982 in the LORD H3068 shall be safe. H7682
The same G3778 came G2064 to G4314 Jesus G2424 by night, G3571 and G2532 said G2036 unto him, G846 Rabbi, G4461 we know G1492 that G3754 thou art G2064 a teacher G1320 come G2064 from G575 God: G2316 for G1063 no man G3762 can G1410 do G4160 these G5023 miracles G4592 that G3739 thou G4771 doest, G4160 except G3362 God G2316 be G5600 with G3326 him. G846
Nevertheless G3676 G3305 among G1537 the chief rulers G758 also G2532 many G4183 believed G4100 on G1519 him; G846 but G235 because G1223 of the Pharisees G5330 they did G3670 not G3756 confess G3670 him, lest G3363 they should be G1096 put out of the synagogue: G656 For G1063 they loved G25 the praise G1391 of men G444 more G3123 than G2260 the praise G1391 of God. G2316
For G1063 before G4253 that certain G5100 came G2064 from G575 James, G2385 he did eat G4906 with G3326 the Gentiles: G1484 but G1161 when G3753 they were come, G2064 he withdrew G5288 and G2532 separated G873 himself, G1438 fearing G5399 them which were of G1537 the circumcision. G4061 And G2532 the other G3062 Jews G2453 dissembled G4942 likewise G2532 with him; G846 insomuch G5620 that Barnabas G921 also G2532 was carried away G4879 with their G846 dissimulation. G5272
Wherein G1722 G3739 I suffer trouble, G2553 as G5613 an evil doer, G2557 even unto G3360 bonds; G1199 but G235 the word G3056 of God G2316 is G1210 not G3756 bound. G1210 Therefore G1223 G5124 I endure G5278 all things G3956 for G1588 the elect's G1588 sakes, G1223 that G2443 they G846 may G5177 also G2532 obtain G5177 the salvation G4991 which G3588 is in G1722 Christ G5547 Jesus G2424 with G3326 eternal G166 glory. G1391 It is a faithful G4103 saying: G3056 For G1063 if G1487 we be dead with G4880 him, we shall G4800 also G2532 live with G4800 him: If G1487 we suffer, G5278 we shall G4821 also G2532 reign with G4821 him: if G1487 we deny G720 him, he also G2548 will deny G720 us: G2248 If G1487 we believe not, G569 yet he G1565 abideth G3306 faithful: G4103 he cannot G3756 G1410 deny G720 himself. G1438
I know G1492 thy G4675 works, G2041 and G2532 where G4226 thou dwellest, G2730 even where G3699 Satan's G4567 seat G2362 is: and G2532 thou holdest fast G2902 my G3450 name, G3686 and G2532 hast G720 not G3756 denied G720 my G3450 faith, G4102 even G2532 in G1722 those days G2250 wherein G1722 G3739 Antipas G493 was my G3450 faithful G4103 martyr, G3144 who G3739 was slain G615 among G3844 you, G5213 where G3699 Satan G4567 dwelleth. Here is,
Here the people rudely interrupted him in his discourse, and contradicted what he said (v. 20): Thou has a devil; who goes about to kill thee? This intimates,
He concludes this argument with that rule (v. 24): Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. This may be applied, either,

Jhn 7:45-53
The chief priests and Pharisees are here in a close cabal, contriving how to suppress Christ; though this was the great day of the feast, they attended not the religious services of the day, but left them to the vulgar, to whom it was common for those great ecclesiastics to consign and turn over the business of devotion, while they thought themselves better employed in the affairs of church-policy. They sat in the council-chamber, expecting Christ to be brought a prisoner to them, as they had issued out warrants for apprehending him, v. 32. Now here we are told,
