10 My beloved H1730 is white H6703 and ruddy, H122 the chiefest H1713 among ten thousand. H7233
Thou art fairer H3302 than the children H1121 of men: H120 grace H2580 is poured H3332 into thy lips: H8193 therefore God H430 hath blessed H1288 thee for ever. H5769
For their rock H6697 is not as our Rock, H6697 even our enemies H341 themselves being judges. H6414
I will make thy name H8034 to be remembered H2142 in all H1755 generations: H1755 therefore shall the people H5971 praise H3034 thee for ever H5769 and ever. H5703
I am the rose H2261 of Sharon, H8289 and the lily H7799 of the valleys. H6010
So shall they fear H3372 the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 from the west, H4628 and his glory H3519 from the rising H4217 of the sun. H8121 When the enemy H6862 shall come in H935 like a flood, H5104 the Spirit H7307 of the LORD H3068 shall lift up a standard H5127 against him.
And I will set H7760 a sign H226 among them, and I will send H7971 those that escape H6412 of them unto the nations, H1471 to Tarshish, H8659 Pul, H6322 and Lud, H3865 that draw H4900 the bow, H7198 to Tubal, H8422 and Javan, H3120 to the isles H339 afar off, H7350 that have not heard H8085 my fame, H8088 neither have seen H7200 my glory; H3519 and they shall declare H5046 my glory H3519 among the Gentiles. H1471
Wherefore G1352 God G2316 also G2532 hath highly exalted G5251 him, G846 and G2532 given G5483 him G846 a name G3686 which G3588 is above G5228 every G3956 name: G3686 That G2443 at G1722 the name G3686 of Jesus G2424 every G3956 knee G1119 should bow, G2578 of things in heaven, G2032 and G2532 things in earth, G1919 and G2532 things under the earth; G2709 And G2532 that every G3956 tongue G1100 should confess G1843 that G3754 Jesus G2424 Christ G5547 is Lord, G2962 to G1519 the glory G1391 of God G2316 the Father. G3962
And G2532 he G846 is G2076 the head G2776 of the body, G4983 the church: G1577 who G3739 is G2076 the beginning, G746 the firstborn G4416 from G1537 the dead; G3498 that G2443 in G1722 all G3956 things he G846 might have G1096 the preeminence. G4409
For G1063 it became G4241 him, G846 for G1223 whom G3739 are all things, G3956 and G2532 by G1223 whom G3739 are all things, G3956 in bringing G71 many G4183 sons G5207 unto G1519 glory, G1391 to make G5048 the captain G747 of their G846 salvation G4991 perfect G5048 through G1223 sufferings. G3804

Commentary on Song of Songs 5 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 5
In this chapter we have,
Sgs 5:1
These words are Christ's answer to the church's prayer in the close of the foregoing chapter, Let my beloved come into his garden; here he has come, and lets her know it. See how ready God is to hear prayer, how ready Christ is to accept the invitations that his people give him, though we are backward to hear his calls and accept his invitations. He is free in condescending to us, while we are shy of ascending to him. Observe how the return answered the request, and outdid it.
Sgs 5:2-8
In this song of loves and joys we have here a very melancholy scene; the spouse here speaks, not to her beloved (as before, for he has withdrawn), but of him, and it is a sad story she tells of her own folly and ill conduct towards him, notwithstanding his kindness, and of the just rebukes she fell under for it. Perhaps it may refer to Solomon's own apostasy from God, and the sad effects of that apostasy after God had come into his garden, had taken possession of the temple he had built, and he had feasted with God upon the sacrifices (v. 1); however, it is applicable to the too common case both of the churches and particular believers, who by their carelessness and security provoke Christ to withdraw from them. Observe,
