50 The salt `is' good, but if the salt may become saltless, in what will ye season `it'? Have in yourselves salt, and have peace in one another.'
your word always in grace -- with salt being seasoned -- to know how it behoveth you to answer each one.
If possible -- so far as in you -- with all men being in peace;
`Ye are the salt of the land, but if the salt may lose savour, in what shall it be salted? for nothing is it good henceforth, except to be cast without, and to be trodden down by men.
peace pursue with all, and the separation, apart from which no one shall see the Lord,
Let no corrupt word out of your mouth go forth, but what is good unto the needful building up, that it may give grace to the hearers;
`The salt `is' good, but if the salt doth become tasteless, with what shall it be seasoned? neither for land nor for manure is it fit -- they cast it without. He who is having ears to hear -- let him hear.'
and the youthful lusts flee thou, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart;
And finally, being all of one mind, having fellow-feeling, loving as brethren, compassionate, courteous,
and if bitter zeal ye have, and rivalry in your heart, glory not, nor lie against the truth; this wisdom is not descending from above, but earthly, physical, demon-like, for where zeal and rivalry `are', there is insurrection and every evil matter; and the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, easily entreated, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical: -- and the fruit of the righteousness in peace is sown to those making peace.
for the wrath of a man the righteousness of God doth not work;
Turn aside from evil and do good, Seek peace and pursue it.
If, then, any exhortation `is' in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfil ye my joy, that ye may mind the same thing -- having the same love -- of one soul -- minding the one thing, nothing in rivalry or vain-glory, but in humility of mind one another counting more excellent than yourselves --
Only worthily of the good news of the Christ conduct ye yourselves, that, whether having come and seen you, whether being absent I may hear of the things concerning you, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul, striving together for the faith of the good news,
with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love, being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of the peace; one body and one Spirit, according as also ye were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who `is' over all, and through all, and in you all,
And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit; for he who in these things is serving the Christ, `is' acceptable to God and approved of men. So, then, the things of peace may we pursue, and the things of building up one another;
`These things I command you, that ye love one another; if the world doth hate you, ye know that it hath hated me before you;

We have here the story of Christ casting the devil out of a child, somewhat more fully related than it was in Mt. 17:14, etc. Observe here,

Here,
The two last verses are somewhat difficult, and interpreters agree not in the sense of them; for every one in general, or rather every one of them that are cast into hell, shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Therefore have salt in yourselves.
